About the author

Jason started his Oracle career as a developer, building Oracle Forms 4.5, Reports 2.5 customisations for an Oracle e-Business 10.7SC implementation in Tyneside. He progressed from there to become an Oracle DBA and AIX engineer, before leaping into the world of consultancy.

Since then Jason has been working with organisations around the world to help them build, manage, enhance and expand their Oracle based systems, first with on-premise AIX, HP-UX, SUN, Windows and Linux systems. Now his work is aligned to Cloud based implementations. primarily dealing with Oracle (OCI), but working with the other major cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP). Jason’s role as a Managing Cloud and Security Architect at Capgemini UK has him working with some of the leading companies in the UK, US and across Europe, as well as leading a team of over 30 Oracle DBA’s engineers and architects who he is incredibly proud to work with.

Jason is also keen to get his message out into the Oracle community. As an active member of the UK Oracle User Group (UKOUG), and now adding presenting at Oracle Cloud World in Las Vegas to his portfolio, Jason is always keen to get involved in discussions and debates about Oracle, and technology in general.

Additionally, Jason regularly has involvement with The Princes Trust, and worthwhile charity initiatives such as Code Your Future.
